Our land, our desire to live

We try to be true to our convictions. We have decided to manage our vineyard in organic agriculture, to make a virtuous pact with this natural environment that sustains us. We try every day to adapt our way of life to this model. Our wines, our life, are linked…

It all starts with "Keep your feet firmly on the ground."

Soils are a major concern for us and are an essential part of what makes our terroir. Our role is to pamper it, to help it breathe, to encourage the proliferation of its fauna and flora in harmony with the needs of our vines.

Part of our soils are limestone-clay on stony subsoil, the other part is silt-clay with limestone scree.

All of the conditions are in place so that the Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec offer us remarkable quality. Each grape variety follows its own development, harvesting and vinification. This diversity enriches our blending capacities and gives our wines the complexity and elegance we seek.

For Eric and Brigitte, this terroir, this land, is a living entity. It is a question of preserving it in order to pass it on intact and alive to their children.

Organic

An environmental commitment

This desire to ensure the sustainability of our land has led us to switch to natural practices in the management of daily life in the vineyard. Our organic certification dates back to 2012. It is the culmination of an approach instilled by Brigitte’s father who certified the vineyard in sustainable viticulture in 1993.

Our profession is no longer the same. We have more work, more observations on the ground, more attention paid to nature, much more stress too…

We have learned perseverance, humility in the face of an all-powerful nature that we must be content to accompany as best we can to bring out its best. The vine is a living thing. It adapts itself to the education we give it. As the years go by, it gives back to us well. And our wines have changed! They are more elegant and balanced. They have gained in depth, minerality. They recapture their original identity.
